Matt stumbled upon the wild world of web design & development purely by accident at eleven. His fascination with online bulletin board systems and how they work eventually turned to HTML & CSS and then software development.
In the past 15 years, he’s worked with many frameworks, tools, and CMS’s. Today his primary focus is on Statamic, TailwindCSS, AlpineJS, and Laravel. He builds websites that don’t rely on heavy frameworks or themes, but rather focus on being fast, efficient, and accessible.
In June 2018, he and his husband opened their own business, Divrsion VR Arcade & Board Games. Divrsion is a virtual reality arcade & board game parlor located in Harrison, OH. Their goal was to bring affordable VR to their community and they did this by opening as one of the most affordable VR arcades in the world. They have deep roots in their local community and wanted to keep giving back. In January 2020, they organized a treasure hunt around town, which received local news coverage and brought their community together to enjoy the great outdoors.
When he’s not working, you can bet that he’s playing board games, stumbling through a hectic game of Dungeons & Dragons, reading a good mystery, or spending time relaxing at his RV. When he finally has a chance to get away, he and his husband love traveling. His favorite destinations are usually those that have a good view and lots of trails to hike.
